Rajasa Ikmal Tobing, sometimes known as Ikmal Tobing, is an Indonesian drummer born in 1989. Ikmal is currently spending his life as a well-respected drummer with followers all around Indonesia. Ikmal began his journey into the world of Indonesian music at an early age, collaborating with professional musicians in Indonesia.

Ikmal Tobing's unusual appearance with Mohawk hair and a highly aggressive drum-playing style stole over everyone's hearts. Ahmad Dani, an Indonesian music legend, entrusted him with the position of drummer for T.R.I.A.D. and Mahadewa, a pop rock music group. Both music groups are always watched by over 10,000 people at each performance.

At the age of 2.5 years, Ikmal learned about playing drums from his father, Jelly Tobing, a professional drummer and living legend in Indonesian music.  In the 1980s, Jelly Tobing was a drummer noticed for his powerful and unforgettable fill-ins; he was also playing a Pearl drum with a double bass drum setup.

As a child, Ikmal frequently accompanied his father to concerts.  Hiding behind the floor toms, Ikmal's small eyes sparkled as he watched his father hit the drum, and that day intentionally had a significant impact on his music career later on.

His passion for drumming never faded, despite the choice to leave his career and achievements as a professional soccer player in Indonesia. Ikmal earned a spot to the national team and won numerous awards, including top scorer, MVP, and so on. Ikmal chose drums and music as a way of life. Ikmal started showing his talents in Indonesian music festivals.

Ikmal is also known as a drummer who is deeply passionate about education. Ikmal, who completed major percussion at the Indonesian Music Institute, previously dedicated himself to teaching while working as a musician. Ikmal brings his house for free drums and music lessons for young people who do not have the resources or possibilities to learn music due to financial constraints. As one might expect, Ikmal is frequently requested to judge many drum contests in Indonesia.

A huge fan of the drummer icons Mike Mangini (Ikmal even succeeded in getting Mike Mangini's signature at Pearl Mike Mangini Signature Snare Drum when Mike Mangini visited Indonesia), Ikmal, never restless following successfully collaborating with Ahmad Dani, continued to work to find him.  Ikmal and Kiribilly, like his father, who runs a Beatles tribute band, showed their outstanding skill to play Beatles songs in their own style while remaining according to the Beatles arrangement.

Ikmal is also working on another project with a famous Indonesian DJ, DJ Goeslan.  Playing electronic music arrangements together with acoustic drum beats.  As if he didn't have sufficient inspiration and enthusiasm, Ikmal collaborated with the Summerlane music group, a punk rock band.  Ikmal has demonstrated his true identity as a drummer worth of attention; his originality and consistency in appearance and music establish him as a Pearl Drum Artist.
