Brian Karl
Independent - United States

Born in New York, Brian began playing drums at the age of eleven.  Brian grew up listening to bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper and Aerosmith.  He became hooked on classic rock, heavy metal, blues and jazz.  Brian worked at local music stores in New York, spending all of his money on drums and vinyl records.  He has attended hundreds of concerts, constantly studying the drummers’ every move.  After studying with many local teachers, including Bobby Rondinelli (Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Quiet Riot), Brian began playing the local club scene with various bands.  He joined the New York City based band, Station, opening for such acts as Joe Lynn Turner and .38 Special.  Brian has played the Millennium Music Conference, Great South Bay Music Festival, and the Rocklahoma Festival.  Station released their first EP “WIRED” in 2013 which they recorded in Nashville with the legendary producer, Michael Wagener (Ozzy Osbourne, Skid Row, Mötley Crüe, Metallica, Alice Cooper, Extreme, Dokken, Warrant).  Brian has continued to work and record with Michael Wagener since the release of Station’s EP.

When he is not touring Brian teaches drums and piano both privately and at Gil Brienes Music in New York.
