Overview
Thom Shearer is a marching percussion specialist based in Central California who excels at teaching his students the skills necessary to perform at the highest levels in the marching arts.
Mr. Shearer started his marching percussion career as a cymbal player with the Granite State Garrison in 1984 and quickly advanced to snare. In 1990, Thom joined the Spartans of Nashua, NH, and 1995 aged out with the Boston Crusaders.
Thom currently works with Templeton High School in Templeton, CA as the percussion instructor/show designer and arranger since 2010. Thom also plays percussion and writes for the group Four Beards percussion and writes and arranges for Chameleon Percussion.
