German Classic Timpani were co-created and intensively tested by Raymond Curfs, Principal Timpanist of the "Symphonie Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks" and the "Lucerne Festival Orchestra." His mission was to create a legacy for the next generations of percussionists- a masterpiece that is the outcome of years of experience performing with the world's most elite orchestras.

German Classic's feature that traditional warm, bold Berlin sound with increased volume and concert-hall projection. Players can choose between three pedal styles as well as infinite adjust clutch or traditional tooth and pawl ratchet style. The pedal system is a new and subtle improvement on the well-known Ringer-style pedal. The struts have been scientifically researched and re-engineered for better distribution of tension on the bowl.
