Tre Stafford
Adelitas Way
Overview
Born and raised in Orange County, California, Trevor Stafford definitely symbolizes a dynamically talented drummer. He began his craft at twelve years old. By the time he entered high school, having no formal training, he joined concert, Jazz, and marching band. It was here where he learned the more technical aspects of drumming. With an open mind and open ear to several diverse musical genres, Stafford also spent his high school time performing in different garage bands. He even received the privilege of recording drum tracks with Black Eyed Peas' Will I Am and Poet Name Life.
With influences from drummers such as Neil Peart, Jose Pasillas and Morgan Rose, and bands such as Refused, Primus, and Incubus, he soon evolved into his own unique drumming style. Although shying away from being so technical, Stafford keeps his mode hard and solid, always holding a good pocket.
In 2002, Stafford had a stint with Interscope band, Shuvel, where he toured throughout Europe with Methods of Mayhem and in the U.S. with Disturbed and Soulfly. Five years, and much determination later, he collaborated with his current band- Adelitas Way. Their first single, “Invincible” ascended to number four on the rock charts. The band is currently touring their new album Home School Valedictorian off Virgin/Capitol records.
