Overview
Sean Daniels is currently principal Timpanist for the Colour of Music Festival Orchestra. He has led percussion programs at Hampton University Benedict College and Tennessee State University respectively. Daniels has presented at PASIC, CBDNA Southern Convention, Intercollegiate Music Association, DMV Percussion Academy, National Conference of Percussion Pedagogy, Nashville Metro Public Schools Summer Band Camp, The Governors School of Tennessee and the HBCU National Band Directors Consortium. Daniels has served as President of South Carolina Chapter of PAS. He has performed with Lou Rawls, Tommy Newsome, Carl Allen, Kenny Garrett, Rufus Reid, Chester Thompson, Bobby Watson, Curtis Lundy and others. He has served as a member of the PAS World Percussion and Marching Percussion Committees respectively. Daniels is currently a member of PAS Board Advisors and the PAS Diversity Alliance where he serves as point person for Racial Diversity. He is endorsed by Pearl/Adams and Vic Firth percussion. He is the recipient of several ASCAP Plus Awards. His compositions are available through C.Alan Publications, Sean Sarah Publications DMP, and Permus Publications. Daniels earned the DMA in Percussion from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, MM The Ohio State University, and his BA from Alabama State University.
