Quintin Mallette

Overview
Quintin Mallette is a percussionist and educator based in North Carolina where he has performed on everything from marimba to google glass. Quintin is a section percussionist with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and has appeared with various orchestras and chamber groups across the southeast including the Carolina Philharmonic, Hilton Head Symphony, and the Savannah Philharmonic.
In addition to his orchestral work, He enjoys performing solo and chamber percussion works with a special interest in both the vibraphone and electroacoustic music. As an advocate for the creation and promotion of music by living composers, Quintin was awarded a Regional Artists Grant through the North Carolina Arts Council to combine these interests in an accessible way.
When he’s not performing, you can often him teaching at Fayetteville State University where he is currently the Music Area Coordinator and Lecturer of Percussion or interacting with the research committees of PAS, the Vibraphone Project, or the Racial Diversity sub-committee within the PAS Diversity Alliance.
Quintin received his DMA from the University of Georgia, where he studied with Timothy K. Adams Jr. He currently resides in Greenville, NC where he maintains a private studio and enjoys spending time with his wife family. Quintin is a proud endorser of Pearl/Adams instruments and Vic Firth sticks and mallets.
