Overview

Max Mullinix is currently in his 8th year on staff with the Kennesaw Mountain High School Band program. At Kennesaw Mountain, he serves as the Director of Percussion, and also works with the middle school feeder programs in the area. During his time at Kennesaw Mountain, the band participated in several memorable events including: The Midwest Clinic (2006), was a 5-time BOA Grand National Finalist, and a 4th Place WGI World Championship Percussion accomplishment. Max has been honored to work and perform with many wonderful people such as, Steve Houghton, She-e Wu, Nick Angelis, Bret Kuhn, Clint Gillespie, and David Starnes. As a performer Max was involved in several nationally known ensembles including The Jacksonville State University Marching Southerners and PASIC Ensemble, Gadsden Symphony, Spirit of Atlanta, Music City Mystique, and The Cavaliers.

 

Max currently resides with his wonderful wife, Brooke, and dog, Rascal, in Smyrna, GA. Other teaching credits include the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps, Jacksonville State University, Forsyth Central High School, Northmont High School, University of West Georgia, Atlanta Quest WGI Ensemble, and the 2005 BOA Honor Band of America who appeared in the Rose Parade.
