Jamie Rogan
Billy Currington
Overview
Jamie Rogan was born in 1971 in Columbus, Georgia to a musically supportive family. Jamie felt a calling to the drums early in his life and knew that he was destined to be a lifelong student and lover of the drums and music in general. Studying piano in elementary school before taking formal drum lessons gave him a musical foundation that he would need to feed and grow the musical hunger in his life.
Jamie graduated from Auburn University with a music degree in 1994, and then played and taught in the local and regional scene while being based out of Birmingham, Alabama. After making the decision in the year 2000 to relocate to Nashville from Birmingham, Jamie began freelancing and playing gigs with every songwriter and musician that he possibly could, all the while soaking up the Nashville scene and looking for more musical opportunities.
In 2004, Jamie began playing with Mercury recording artist Billy Currington, where he is still holding the drummer and band leader chairs today. Along the way, Jamie has had the opportunity to perform with many wonderful artist and song writers such as Montgomery Gentry, Chris Janson , Love and Theft, Babyface , Colbie Caillat, Steel Magnolia , Kelsea Ballerini and many other songwriters and aspiring artists .
Jamie is very proud to be associated with Pearl Drums , as the quality of their drums and hardware is unsurpassed and provides a platform to give his best musical offerings night after night while touring , teaching , doing sessions and playing locally as well.
