Dexter Hercules
Independent / Ed Sheeran
Overview
Dexter Hercules, a London-based professional drummer, has been playing the drums since he was 3 years old. He has already achieved an impressive repertoire of artists he's played for, including Ronnie Wood, Emeli Sande, Little Mix, Lalah Hathaway, Theo Croker, Incognito, Pixie Lott, Stormzy, Olly Murs, Rita Ora, Boy George, Ashanti, Derrick Hodge, and many more. Dexter was the house band drummer for the hit TV show "The Voice UK" until 2023, and since then, he has been the drummer for Ed Sheeran.
Dexter's success is driven by his dynamic playing style and by mastering countless genres, including Jazz, Pop, Gospel, Fusion, Broken Beat, and Funk. Not many drummers can cover everything from rocking the Chuck Berry catalogue with Ronnie Wood to grooving with Robert Glasper and Derrick Hodge at Ronnie Scott's, but that's a testament to the versatility of Dexter Hercules.
