A Drummer and Percussionist whose passion runs deep for music, Dan believes in serving the world community through heavy grooves. His long-time commitment to percussion and music has shaped him into a consummate professional. Beginning with his hometown Philadelphia’s incredible musical tradition, Dan’s taste and study have led him to be a roots appreciator of music from all over the world.

Dan is a Graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, having studied percussion, world music, and Music Industry from Dr. Jason Koontz, Prof. Chris Munson, and Prof. April Brumfield (Brumfield and Associates). At EKU, Dan performed with all major musical ensembles that included percussion, as well as the renowned Dance Theatre. While performing with the EKU Steel Band, Dan became an enthusiast of Calypso music and the music of the Caribbean. This love also expanded to the music of Brazil after a percussion study tour of three Brazilian cities in 2009.

Dan is heavily studied in rudimental percussion having committed 16 years to Marching Percussion playing and teaching. During High School and into College, Dan gained his first experiences in Drum Corps and Indoor Percussion with The Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps and Aftermath Indoor Percussion. Dan auditioned into two of the most prestigious ensembles in the World before age 22, The Cavaliers - DCI,  and Rhythm X - WGI. While a cast member, the Cavaliers were honored with the 2008 DCI Bronze Medal. While a cast member of Rhythm X, the ensemble won their second World Championship in 2009 and a Silver Medal in 2010.

A deep believer in growing the community, Dan has taught percussion in schools and privately since graduating high school in 2005. He considers himself an eternal student of the universe.

Dan is Co-Creative Director and a Cast Member of rePercussion, America’s premiere comedy drumming show for the entire family, with which he has performed in the USA and Dubai (U.A.E.).

Dan worked at Pearl Corporation from 2010-2014, as Marching Percussion Marketing Manager leading the top selling Marching Percussion brand world over. He is proud to endorse Pearl/Adams drums, percussion, and hardware.
