Craig Dunn
Rhythm X
Overview
In 2001, Dunn started the Rhythm X percussion ensemble upon his departure from Westerville South High School. When Craig left, he realized the need for a performance ensemble that offered a higher level of expertise than what was being offered at the time in Central Ohio. The Rhythm X Performance Ensemble was born out of that need and is still the philosophical cornerstone of Rhythm X, Inc. Since Craig started Rhythm X in 2001, the ensemble has captured three WGI World Championships, and appeared at the WGI World Championships finals in the Independent World Class every year. Several years ago, Mr. Dunn shifted his focus to Europe and the European X ensemble, based out of the Netherlands where he has assisted with the development of the program alongside Erik DeVries. Craig has been an adjudicator for Drum Corps International and USBands. Additionally, Craig served for several years on the WGI Advisory Board, helping to shape the indoor percussion activity. Craig proudly endorses the products of Pearl/Adams, D'Addario, Evans, Innovative Percussion, and Sabian. Craig has been the director of percussion and percussion designer with many local, national, and international percussion ensembles. Currently, Mr. Dunn lives in Central Ohio with his wife and three kids, and is the assistant band director at Olentangy Orange High School and teaches second grade in the Olentangy Local School District.
