Overview

Deadform was conceived in the spring of 2010 as an outlet of new ideas from guitarist Jordan Milner and Vocalist James Legion. At the time, both were touring with the blackened-death metal outfit The Breathing Process (Siege of Amida Records). As the touring cycle for The Breathing Process' "Odyssey Undead" album came to a close in the fall of 2010, Jordan and James returned to their homes in Connecticut and North Carolina for some much needed rest.
In that time, the two began exchanging tracks via email with the intention of recording songs as a studio project. Drawing influence from Deftones, Tool, NIN, Rammstein, ect. The initial idea was to create a progressive rock band that had an industrial edge. After a few demos were recorded, they began to realize that what they were onto could be something extraordinary if it was produced the right way.

James began recording with producer Sid Menon (Yearling) and immediately, there was a difference. The songs went from being rough demos to polished, well produced songs. After showing the demos to a few friends and industry contacts, the response overwhelmingly positive. The decision became clear: Deadform needed to become a reality.

Fast forward to 2013. Acquiring drummer Chris Lewallen and guitarist Sara Loerlein (also of The Breathing Process) almost immediately after hearing the demos in 2011, the band now had a full line up and nearly a full album of songs written. There was just one main obstacle in the way: Everyone of them lived in different states throughout the country.

This obviously made rehearsing difficult as well as playing shows. After spending a week in Los Angeles to shoot a video for the band's first single "Delirium", the band collectively made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles. The band is now set to release their debut self -titled EP followed by a full length album to be released in 2014.
