Bevan Davies
Danzig / Dirty Pollyanna / MonstrO / Comes With The Fall
Overview
Bevan Davies is simply one of the most dynamic, energetic, and versatile drummers on the music scene today. Having recorded and toured with everyone from Danzig, Static-X, Jerry Cantrell, and Bloodsimple all the way over to Englebert Humperdinck, Bevan has proven his undying commitment to the art of percussion on stages and in studios across the world. Most recently recorded the drum track for Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" which was heard on the 2009 MuchMusic Awards performance. Beyond being a consummate professional, Bevan is also a founding member of the long-running power trio Comes With The Fall (featuring William DuVall of Alice In Chains). Bevan's artistry and attitude speak for themselves.
Bevan Davies got his start with the hard rock/heavy band Still Rain from Fayetteville, North Carolina in the early 1990's. Still Rain also included vocalist Donnie Hamby (Doubledrive), guitarist Troy McLawhorn (Doubledrive, Dark New Day, Evanescence, Seether), guitarist Clint Lowery (Sevendust, Dark New Day, Korn), and bassist Corey Lowery (Stuck Mojo, Life of Agony, Stereomud, Dark New Day). After Still Rain dissolved in 1995, Davies played briefly with the other band members of Still Rain (minus Hamby) in Mouthpiece, and recorded an EP in 1996.
Since then he has gone on to play with Comes With The Fall (William Duvall, Alice in Chains), Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), Danzig, Static-X, and Bloodsimple and is currently with Dirty Pollyanna and MonstrO.
WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY
"Mr. Davies is a fine musician and a friend. Gold star. Works and plays well With others. A+." -PROFESSOR [JERRY] CANTRELL (Alice in Chains)
"Writing with BD was like playing with someone who already knew what the outcome of the song was gonna be from the first riff written. He visualizes the concept of the song and what it calls for on the drums from the very beginning!! He refuses to stop growing as a musician which makes him very hard to keep up with!! I always look forward to a chance to jam with him!!!" -CLINT LOWERY (Sevendust, Korn)
"For many years now, Bevan has been the rock upon which I've relied, the engine that drives the CWTF locomotive. Ours is very much a Page/Bonham, Townshend/Moon, Hendrix/Mitchell relationship. I can't think of anyone with whom I'd rather share the stage or studio." -WILLIAM DUVALL (Comes With The Fall, Alice In Chains)
"BEVAN is a world class drummer with all the skills necessary in today's modern drumming world to captivate and impress audiences everywhere... from the laid back groove of Jerry Cantrell to the shear brutality of Bloodsimple...BEVAN does it all and I can guarantee you you're playin with a winner when BEVAN is the backbone of your band!!!!" -VINNIE PAUL (Hellyeah, Pantera)
"Bevan is a real pro. When our drummer broke his hand in the middle of a tour last year Bevan jumped right in and rocked it for us." -WAYNE STATIC (Static-X)
