All Adams Symphonic Series Timpani bowls are press formed from a single sheet of supreme quality copper. Seamless and free of any welds or soldering, the bowl is allowed to resonant freely and evenly. Symphonic Timpani feature a European style block pedal system and easy to operate fine tuner located on the player's side. 

Symphonic Series Timpani are available in Hammered Cambered Copper and Hammered Copper standard size configurations.

Adams Symphonic Toe Block Mechanism

European-Style Pedal

The Symphonic GEN2 Series pedal mechanism is based upon the European style toe-release block system, also known as a clutch and post system. Unlike the Professional GEN2 Series balanced action system, this type of block pedal system allows the fundamental pitch of the timpani head to be easily altered without effecting pedal performance.

Three wheels, two at the rear and one under the pedal mechanism, have been custom designed with a braking mechanism that prevents them from both turning and rotating. The wheels are also designed to eliminate any possibility of noise caused from vibration. Other great standard features include an easy to operate tuning gauge, and high-quality Remo Renaissance Timpani heads with insert rings for increased rigidity and improved sound quality. The Adams Symphonic Series Timpani are offered in five bowl diameters, 20”, 23”, 26”, 29”, and 32”.

This type of bowl is our top-of-the-range model. The quality of the tone is really focused. The tone is very warm. This type of bowl is used in the Professional series, Symphonic series and Philharmonic series timpani.

Hammered Copper

S2KH HAMMERED COPPER

This type of bowl has the best price-quality ratio. Compared to the Polished Copper you pay a little more, but you get a tone that is more focused and direct.
