The 1.25” high-grade steel Round Top bars sparkle with an unparalleled timbre and gorgeous bright nickel-plated steel resonators project the instrument clearly through every ensemble. The open rail system of the Adams Artist Glockenspiel not only allows for the foot-operated damper system but also eliminates “case noise” that is normally produced by bells that are mounted in a box. Like all Adams Xylophones, the Soloist Series Synthetic models feature precision tuning to an incredible sixth overtone - this allows the synthetic zelon bars to produce a truly balanced, warm and resonant sound with perfect pitch. Adams Revolution Series Timpani have a number of patented developments that combine truly professional performance sound quality with an innovative balanced action pedal system, height adjustment system, wide range hand fine-tuner, and a removable, folding base for true portability. For the first time ever, calf heads can be used on a balanced action pedal, and an octave can be achieved from each drum with the range tuner. The base and bowl of the Revolution Series Timpani easily separate without tools, making these the only truly portable high-quality drums available. When separated from the base, each Revolution drum maintains tension and has a range of a 5th using the hand fine tuner feature.
