Jared Roberts is an Australian metal & rock drummer and has been a Pearl drums player for almost 30 years. He is currently the drummer for Alarum, Munt, Last Earthfall & Desecrator.

From the age of 8, Jared developed his drumming chops jamming along to classic rock and metal before beginning lessons from age 11. He immediately started gigging from age 12 with Sentor - a band formed in high school that gathered some national recognition in 1999 after a standout album via a schools recording program and a label signing. Throughout the late 90's as a teenager he also was playing in pubs, clubs and other places that he probably was too young for. 

Jared has played in various cover bands, tribute acts, original bands, as well as touring as a fill-in drummer. He has a handful of album credits to his name as a session drummer for various albums, EPs and singles. 

Jared's international touring career began after relocating to Melbourne in 2011 and began lessons with Dave Haley (Psycroptic), who by chance introduced him to Desecrator. Jared joined the band in 2013, releasing 2 albums, 2 singles and an EP, and has toured extensively around the world until 2022 when Desecrator decided to take a break.

Since 2022 Jared has been playing in renowned Australian progressive metal band Alarum, black/death metal band Munt, and progressive rock band Last Earthfall. Jared continues to tour extensively and record for various projects.
