Adams Revolution Series Timpani have a number of patented developments that combine truly professional performance sound quality with an innovative balanced action pedal system, height adjustment system, wide range hand fine-tuner, and a removable, folding base for true portability. For the first time ever, calf heads can be used on a balanced action pedal, and an octave can be achieved from each drum with the range tuner. There has never been a more practical, portable, high-quality instrument.
The base and bowl of the Revolution Series Timpani easily separate without tools, making these the only truly portable high-quality drums available. When separated from the base, each Revolution drum maintains tension and has a range of a 5th using the hand fine tuner feature. The base itself folds and locks and can be easily carried away using the built-in handle. The oversized double locking swivel casters combined with the permanently installed locking third wheel assembly on the pedal help the Revolution drums glide with fingertip effort.

Features
Revolution timpani are available in standard sizes in Fiberglass bowl without the fine tuner, as well as Smooth Copper and Hand-hammered Copper bowls with the fine tuner. Drums include tuning gauges, short nylon drop covers and mutes. Padded bags are available to protect the drums while in transport with heavy-duty handle straps that make moving the Revolution drums easier than any other balanced action drum.

Features
Optimal Portability
Patented Un-coupling and Frame Folding Systems make Revolution Timpani the most practical, portable, high-quality timpani ever created. With one simple click, the kettle can be removed. If the drum is fitted with a fine-tuner option, it is possible to play the timpani without the pedal mechanism, which is ideal for Baroque music when calf heads are fitted. After placing the kettle back on the frame again, it is locked by pushing the pedal down. The base itself folds and locks, and can be carried easily by hand using the built-in handle.
Patented Tension Mechanism
Adams has developed a system that automatically spreads the tension of the head over all the tuning screws. This means your timpani head is always equally in balance giving you a perfect and even tone. Now replacing or tuning a timpani head couldn't be simpler!
Fine Tuner
The fine tuner allows optimum usage of an extremely wide pitch range of greater than 1 octave (per timpani) with the pedal mechanism attached. Without the pedal attached, the range of the fine tuner is a fifth. The fine tuner makes the Revolution Timpani truly unique and is highly recommended to get full use from your Revolution Timpani.
Height Adjustment
The height of the Adams Revolution Timpani is adjustable from 84cm to 94cm. To adjust the height of the Timpani you must unscrew the screw on the right side of the undercarriage two turns (with the included screwdriver only). Once the screw is loosened, you can adjust the height by turning the kettle round. Ideal for younger musicians and for stage leveling.

Bowl Styles
RVKH Hammered Copper
Unlike other common molding methods, Adams Timpani bowls are press formed from a single sheet of supreme quality copper. Seamless and free of any welds or soldering, the bowl is allowed to resonant freely and evenly. This forming method also ensures an even thickness throughout the entire kettle, resulting in the ultimate in both tonal quality and projection. The bowls are supported by the strong contoured Revolution de-coupling plate and base for maximum form and function.
RVKG Polished Copper
Polished Copper timpani are the benchmark in sound and performance, due to their ability to be used in nearly any setting by amateurs and professionals alike.
RVFI Fiberglass
Fiberglass timpani bowls are lower weight and more cost-effective than copper. While the range of the drums are the same as the copper bowl models, fiberglass shells have a slightly shorter sustain that makes them ideal for smaller ensembles and venues. The Fiberglass Professional Series drums offer great value and fantastic performance quality.
