Raphael began playing the drums at the age of 10. He is self taught and played in his first rock band at age 12.

After he studied at Music School (Agostini Method) at the age of 16.

A few years later at 24, he joined his current band Mass Hysteria for his technique and powerful drumming.

Mass Hysteria, who have enjoyed critical and commercial success in their home country of France with each of their last 4 albums going to the top 3 in the metal charts. Famous for their energetic and electrifying live performances, they have been selling out venues and playing at the most prestigious metal festivals around Europe. For example, they headlined the prestigious Hellfest Festival in 2109 (sold out).

They awarded for their album “L’Armée des Ombres” 2013 the best live performance at l’Olympia. They won one gold record for their album “Contradiction” in 2004.
