Overview
Born in Brownsville, TX, Paul began his music studies in grade school where he received many accolades, furthered his music education in college and thereafter became an accomplished educator. He has taught at numerous High Schools and competitive groups which include: East Coast Jazz Drum and Bugle Corps, The Murray Hill Drum and Bugle Corp, Norwood HS (MA), Deer Park HS (TX), Huntsville HS (TX), and Clear Brook HS (TX). Paul now resides in Los Angeles where he is active as a performer, studio musician, and composer. He has had the honor of performing, touring, and recording with many artists including The Rembrandts, Chaka Khan, Nelly Furtado, All 4 One, Taylor Dane, Sheila E, Coolio, Rick Springfield, Wynonna Judd, Gloria Estefan, Jose Feliciano, Jon Secada, Tone Loc, Brian McKnight, Lonnie Jordan, DJ Kane, Nicho Hinojosa, Ziggy Marley, Shaila Durcal, and Paulina Rubio.
Paul has recorded and appeared on many albums, TV show cues, commercials, films, and live Television performances including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, "In Performance" at the White House, The Latin Grammys, The ALMA Awards, CD USA, MTV, The US Open, MUN2, Viña Del Mar, Nobel Peace Prize Concert, Hoy, Ritmo Internacional, and Conciertos Clandestinos.
Paul’s original compositions have been featured on Univision, UPN show – 7 Days, CSI, CSI Miami, and the FOX show – Johnny Zero. Paul has three published works with Row-Loff Productions: Bump Thump, Blast Off, and Flying Start and has been composing/recording songs for the FaceBook Sound Collection with his band - Dig Infinity and with the music collective - Kolektivo.
Paul has a B.M. in Music Education from Sam Houston State University and a B.M. in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music (Summa Cum Laude).
