Pearl's Folkloric line of congas feature a traditional look with modern innovation that only Pearl can deliver. Each 28” tall Oak drum is designed for the “seated” player, but includes stand mounts for players who prefer to stand. Thicker South American-style natural skin heads make the drums warm-sounding, but a fiberglass gel coating on the interior seals the shell and add the projection and volume desired by today’s players. Four Polished Steel Reinforcing Bands are inset on the shell for a smooth touch, and the traditional hoops complete these stunning Cuban instruments.

In 2011 Pearl introduced the original Travel Congas and the portability of congas was changed forever. Rather than the traditional 28” height of a conga, Pearl’s Travel Congas features 3.5” deep wood shells that deliver maximum portability and sound. Like traditional congas they utilize stave construction and feature real size Quinto (11"), Conga (11.75") and Tumba (12.5") heads. Tuning the Remo Symmetry heads is effortless with five precision Allen tuning bolts and the included wrench. The shell is finished in #510 Caramel Brown. Matching Travel Bongos are also available.

Pearl offers two generations of Travel Conga Stands, the original and an updated model introduced in 2020, specifically designed to work with the second generation of Travel Congas. Travel Conga Stands provide a solid foundation for your drums and the Stand Bridge prevents multiple stands from creeping during performance. The stands includes a travel bag with shoulder strap, making your stand as portable as the Travel Congas.

The Two-Face Cajon from Pearl Percussion has two distinct personalities, with two different playing faces on the front and back. One face is 5mm thick offering a more mellow woody sound, while the reverse face is 3mm thick and gives all the punch, thump, and crack you could ask for. Both sides feature 2 sets of fixed snares. The body of the cajon is constructed using Asiatic hardwood and the face plates are Rubberwood. Rubberwood comes from the Para rubber tree and is very environmentally friendly. Rubberwood is a light-colored, medium-density tropical hardwood perfect for cajons.

Djembes produce a wide range of sounds and are ideal as a solo instrument or as part of a large percussion ensemble or drum circle. Pearl’s Top Tune Djembe series includes four different size drums; 8”, 10”, 12” and 14” with the smaller drums delivering a higher pitch that cuts through and the larger sizes producing a thunderous low-end punch.The patented seamless synthetic shells are available in two dynamic finishes #696 Purple Haze and #697 Tribal Fire with simulated skin heads. Pearl’s top tuning mechanism simplifies the tuning process and makes changing heads a breeze.

Pearl's 13'' steel timbale is a full 7'' deep for a low timbale sound that makes it perfect for drum set applications, as a timbale or an additional tom. A PPS36 mounting bracket is included that attaches off a cymbal or hi-hat stand to place the timbale at the perfect angle.
