Overview

A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Michael Holland is the Associate Director of Bands at Nolensville High School in Nolensville, TN located in the Williamson County School District.

 

A native of Selmer, TN, Michael marched with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2006 and 2007.  He returned to the Cavaliers as a staff member in 2009.  While at Middle Tennessee State University, Michael performed with the Wind Ensemble at numerous events including the Tennessee Music Education Association Conference in 2005 and the College Band Directors National Conference in 2008.  He was also selected to the Tennessee Percussive Arts Society All-Collegiate Ensemble in 2008.

 

Michael has taught at various high schools and middle schools in the Middle and West Tennessee regions.  As Percussion Director at Franklin High School, the Franklin Percussion Ensemble performed at the 2013 and 2017 Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival, part of the Music for All National Festival, the Tennessee Music Education Association Conference in 2014, and Tennessee Percussive Arts Society Day of Percussion events.  The Franklin Percussion Ensemble also won first place in the Small Ensemble Division of the Black Swamp Percussion 2017 Percussion Ensemble Showcase.

 

Michael currently resides in Smyrna, TN with his wife Whitney and their three children Kinley, Beckham, and Easton.  Michael is an Innovative Percussion artist and a Pearl/Adams Educational Artist.
