Doumbek

Pearl's Fiberglass Doumbek features a durable fiberglass body with a reinforced edge ring. Doumbeks are Middle Eastern instruments that have been around for thousands of years. They were used in Mesopotamian and ancient Egyptian cultures. The sound characteristics are similar to djembes but with a sharp tone and attack. Fiberglass drums are inherently louder than wood drums, and the Pearl Doumbek has great projection.
