Overview
Andy Barclay is the principal percussionist with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He became an LPO member in 1995 after five years in the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Having studied at the Royal College of Music (RCM) and having been a member of the European Community Youth Orchestra, Andy went on to freelance in London performing in several West End shows as well as with the major orchestras and opera houses.
He is a percussion professor at the Royal Academy of Music, a regular visiting clinician at the RCM and percussion tutor for the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme at the Snape Maltings near Aldeburgh.
