Pearl's Championship Maple Single Tenors are the perfect complement to your battery. Affectionately called a 'flub' drum, these tenor drums add impact and punctuation to your battery sonority. The Single Tenor's lightweight design is perfect for young percussionists who are learning to march and play.
Championship Maple Single Tenors come with a CXSA2 carrier attachment affixed, making the drum j-bar compatible right out of the box. The Single Tenors are compatible with Pearl's Advanced Marching Hardware MSS3000 Snare Stand.

The 14" Single Tenor comes pre-drilled to accept an add-on 8" drum. See configurations below for options.

Pearl Championship Maple Traditional Tenors provide a warm tenor voicing to your battery. Traditionally carried to be positioned horizontally for bass-style playing, these tenor drums feature 2 eye-hooks to accept back-straps/harness assemblies.
Available in 3 diameters (14", 15", 16") all by 12" depth.
Polished Aluminum Hardware is standard, while chrome is available via special order.

6 ply 100% Maple Shell
Pearl's Championship Maple Maple Tenors feature 6 ply, 100% Maple shells, providing a natural balance of mid to high frequencies which set the industtry standard for dynamic range, sensitivity, and projection. The strength and reliability of Maple allows your ensemble to perform in all climate conditions and environments with supreme clarity for seasons to come.
Pearl's tenors are scientifically proportioned from diameter to depth, allowing for optimal shell vibration. These shell craftmanship details continue to define Pearl's legendary tenor sound.
SST Formed Shells
Championship Maple Tenor Drums are manufactured with Pearl's Superior Shell Technology which utilizes a proprietary technique for achieving the ultimate air chamber. It begins with select woods chosen for their unique acoustic attributes, milled to precise thickness with overlapping scarf joint seams for a perfect air-tight fit. The wood plies are saturated with Pearl's proprietary "AcoustiGlue" that permeates every pore and dries to the eact consistency of the wood for optimal resonance. Finally, the plies are formed in high-temperature molds with 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure to produce perfect drum shells that exhibit superior tone, optimal resonance, and extreme strength.

Shallow-Cut Tenor Option
Championship Maple tenors are available in Shallow-Cut configurations, removing the depth from the shell's skirt to provide a lightweight, agile option. Shallow-Cut tenors offer a tightly focused articulation yet has the warm, round Pearl tenor sound that has become the industry standard. Reduced weight due to shallower shell depths makes the tenors easier to carry, perfect for modern drumlines and bands.
