Eric Zay – Drummer / Artist / Producer

Eric Zay is a dynamic drummer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for his powerful yet musical approach behind the kit.

Over the years he has toured and recorded with a diverse range of artists including Sugizo (X Japan, Luna Sea), Rodger McGuinn (The Byrds), Char, Shogun, Casey Rankin, Jeff Berlin, Clifford Archer (Atlantic Starr), and Spaed—a band formed by members of Loudness and 44Magnum. Zay has also performed as a guitarist with Fake? and Monoral, showcasing his versatility across instruments and genres.

He currently serves as drummer for IMOCD!, an alternative rock band and as a member of HAL from Apollo’69, where his explosive drumming and creative drive the band’s signature sound.

In addition to his performance work, Zay has composed and produced music for anime, film, and major commercial campaigns, and is an endorsed artist with ESP Guitars and Pearl Drums. Whether on stage or in the studio, Eric Zay delivers rhythm with heart, precision, and undeniable presence.

エリック・ゼイは、力強さと音楽的表現力を兼ね備えたダイナミックなドラマー、ソングライター、そしてマルチ・インストゥルメンタリストである。

これまでに、SUGIZO（X JAPAN／LUNA SEA）、ロジャー・マッギン（The Byrds）、Char、SHOGUN、ケイシー・ランキン、ジェフ・バーリン、クリフォード・アーチャー（Atlantic Starr）、そしてLOUDNESSおよび44MAGNUMのメンバーによって結成されたSpAedなど、幅広いアーティストたちと共にツアーおよびレコーディングを行ってきた。また、Fake? や Monoral ではギタリストとしても活動し、楽器やジャンルを超えた多才さを発揮している。

現在は、オルタナティブ・ロック・バンド IMOCD! のドラマーとして活躍する一方、HAL from Apollo’69 のメンバーとしても活動し、爆発的なドラミングと創造性でバンドの個性あるサウンドを牽引している。

演奏活動に加え、アニメや映画、そして大手企業のCM音楽などの作曲・プロデュースも手がけている。これまでに 『ゴルゴ13』、手塚治虫の『ブラック・ジャック』、英語版 『ドラゴンボールZ』 などのサウンドトラックを担当し、コカ・コーラ、マクドナルド、東芝、トヨタ、日産 などの世界的ブランドのキャンペーン音楽も制作している。

また、ESPギターズのエンドーサー および Pearl Drums 公式・アーティストとしても認められている。ステージでもスタジオでも、エリック・ゼイは情熱、精密さ、そして揺るぎない存在感でリズムを奏でるアーティストである。
