Overview

Pete was born in Massachusetts on July 24, 1984. He began drumming at age five after listening to lots of music and growing fond of the drums. Watching a lot of drummers on MTV videos and having a good ear helped him learn the basics. At age ten, he started to take lessons to prep for Jazz band. Which he was involved in for eight years, all through middle and high school. Pete was also involved in a heavy metal band through those years as well, performing around the New England area at bars and clubs. The band was only able to play with their parents present a lot of those times because a lot of the clubs were 21+. The last show they played was opening for Testament on ‘The Gathering’ tour in 1998. A lot of Pete’s growth was from covering other bands music and helping him create his own style. Such acts as Slipknot, Primus, Pantera, Sepultura, Fear Factory, and many more.

After finishing college, he really wanted to get back to music full time and eventually rolled upon Havok from Denver, Colorado looking for a drummer online. After filming two songs that were sent over by band vocalist/guitarist David Sanchez, he was welcomed to join the band. The band had a solid foot in the scene, having just signed with Candlelight Records and had tours lined up with European acts Hammerfall and Primal Fear.

The band then released ‘Time Is Up’ in 2011, which was well taken by the thrash metal scene. The band was able to tour all over the world from this record, going to over 45 countries in one year.

In 2013 the band released ‘Unnatural Selection’ and continued touring around the globe. The band toured with such acts as Death Angel, Sepultura, Overkill, The English Dogs, Toxic Holocaust, and many more.

In 2017 the band released ‘Conformicide’ under Century Media Records, working producer Steve Evetts. This was the most successful album to date, charting high on Billboard charts and getting them to tour with such acts as Megadeth, Killswitch Engage, Anthrax and continued Summer festivals in Europe.

The band had five shows in December as direct support for The Black Dahlia Murder then wrote and recorded their new album 'V' with Producer Mark Lewis in Nashville, TN. The album came out May 1, 2020 on Century Media Records. The album has had amazing reviews across the board and the group was awaiting a world tour. The band is now waiting on the virus to continue touring for this record in the future. Check out HavokBand.com for more information
