Overview

Kyle Tsuchiya is a Minneapolis-based marching percussionist, drum set player, and content creator whose career spans some of the biggest stages in the world.

Kyle’s marching career is headlined by gold medal-winning seasons with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps (2016) and Broken City Percussion (2019). No stranger to the spotlight, Kyle has shared the field with Justin Timberlake at the Super Bowl LII Halftime Show and with Snoop Dogg, HUNTR/X, and Lainey Wilson in Snoop's Holiday Halftime Party on Netflix. He also had extended tenures as a performer with MBI Performing Arts and the University of Minnesota Marching Band, and he currently serves as the center snare for the Minnesota Vikings Skol Line.

As a drum set player, Kyle brings the energy and precision of drumline to the studio and stage, regularly recording or performing with Grayson DeWolfe, The C Notes, The Band of 10,000 Mistakes, and many others.

Kyle also dedicates time to shaping the next generation of players, having served as a drumline instructor at Eden Prairie and Rosemount High Schools, a private lessons instructor through Gridbook Percussion, and a guest clinician across the country.

Off the stage, Kyle connects with a growing audience on social media (@kyletsuchiya), where he channels his love of music and sense of humor into content that resonates with drummers and fans alike. When he isn’t drumming, you’ll find him either leading off for his slowpitch softball team or holed up in his bedroom, lamenting over the woes of his favorite Minnesota sports teams.
