Overview

Hailing from a small farm town just outside St. Louis, Missouri, Steve taught himself how to play the drums at age four just by listening to records. He got his first set of drums at age 11, joined his first band at 13, played his first “gig” at 15, and participated in his first recording session at 17. After high school, Steve attended Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, where he had the pleasure of studying with his mentor and fellow Pearl artist, Ray Luzier.

Steve has had the pleasure of touring with greats in a diverse range of acts, from punk rock legends, Dead Kennedys, to multi-platinum selling pop stars, t.A.t.U, to blues music legend and Grammy nominee, Janiva Magness.

Along with his extensive international and domestic touring experience, Steve has also worked in the studio with Jimmy Allen (Puddle of Mudd, Against All Will), Tim Harkens (Korn, Jerry Cantrell), Dave Fortman (God Smack, Disturbed), Wes Sideman (Green Day, Marilyn Manson), Dave Weiner (Steve Vai Band), and more.

When not on tour, Steve keeps a busy schedule of music gigs and voice acting in the Nashville area
