Nathan fell in love with jazz at a young age when he first heard Miles Davis' album "Kind of Blue." When he heard Lionel Hampton play "'A' Train" he decided that the vibraphone was the instrument for him. His major influences are Milt Jackson, Gary Burton, John Coltrane, and Herbie Hancock.
Nathan attended the University of Miami and studied with Terence Blanchard, Shelly Berg, Martin Bejerano and the legendary Gary Burton.
He has performed at the Amelia Island Jazz Festival, Monetary Jazz Festival, UCF Jazz Festival, and New Orleans Jazz Festival. He has also preformed with the Florida Wind Symphony and the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. He has won numerous awards and scholarships.
Nathan has recorded with Shelly Berg, Brian Lynch, Chuck Bergeron, Kevin Mahogany and also recorded on the Grammy Nominated album "With Love" by Jeremy Fox in 2014.
Nathan regularly performs in Palm Beach, Miami Beach and throughout south Florida. He has also performed in concert with Dena DeRose, John Colianni, Marian Petrescu, Matt Wilson, Marty Morell, Jeff Rupert, Shelly Berg, Ken Peplowski, Karrin Allyson and Chuck Bergeron.
In Addition to leading and writing for his band "VIBEAT", Nathan composes/produces music for Big Bands, Marching Bands, Video/Arcade Games, and Electronic/Dance/Hip-Hop Music projects, and also gives clinics and workshops at schools and Universities across the country.
In November 2017 Nathan released his debut album "V I B E A T A P E V O L. 1" it is available on all major music platforms.
