プロフィール
Born 1974, Iver has made a diverse career for himself both as a musician and as a prolific music producer and mixing/mastering engineer, having contributed in various roles to hundreds of releases since the 1990s.
As a drummer, he can be seen and heard in wildly varying styles and settings, always focusing on driving the music forward with a solid groove both live and in the studio.
In 2018, he accepted the offer to join Norwegian metal band Enslaved as their regular drummer and co-vocalist, after having co-produced their albums since 2010.
Iver:
"Pearl drums have been there from my first steps into the world of drumming, back in 1985 when I was 11 years old. My first ever drum kit was a Pearl - sort of. «Maxwin by Pearl» was the brand. Pretty worn down kit, but it served its purpose, and held up remarkably well.
In 1991, I then bought my first professional kit from my drum teacher, a used, piano black Super Pro GLX from 1986 with 5 toms featuring the infamous Super Gripper lugs. Fantastic kit that served me well for many years!
Moving on to touring the world with Enslaved, it is reassuring to know that Pearl and hardware (let’s not forget the hardware!) will never let me down. As all touring musicians know, the real world circumstances can be very different from the glossy images on product pages… but whether it is a brand new Reference Pure kit delivered to a festival in the US or a 20 year old Pearl Export in a small club in Bangkok, the quality of the instrument makes my job enjoyable every time.
Very proud to officially be a Pearl endorser!"
