Gregory Donovan-Lee Daniel was born into the world of music on April 19th, 1990. Born into a family where music was and continues to be prominent, Greg's musical ear was opened at a very early age. Gregory began playing drums at the age of 3 in a small church in California. He continued his musical education when he moved to San Antonio, TX. Greg began his musical studies at Sam Rayburn Middle School. He immediately began to excel in the concert band arena and began setting sights on a musical career, that carried him through high school, and onto the steps of Berklee College of Music.

A major attribution to Greg's current music career is the training and opportunities he has received at his local church. Beginning with just playing with the children's choir, Greg received first hand training that is unattainable anywhere else. At age 14, he started playing full time in the main services at Family Praise Center, and was afforded the opportunity to perform with people prominent in the Gospel Industry. Such individuals include CeCe Winans, Jon Gibson, Deitrick Haddon, Natalie Wilson, Leon Timbo, and many more.

When he reached the high school level, he took his playing to another level. There he arrived quickly in the Varsity level bands and orchestra. In 2005 he began the Drumline Captain, at the age of 15 in his junior year of high school, a feat that rarely happens. His senior year, he auditioned for the TMEA Region 11 Jazz Region Band and took first chair in the city, as well as placed in the top 20 of the state of Texas. It was then that Gregory became aware of the prestigious Berklee College of Music. He immediately began to prepare for an audition, and in April 2007, was accepted with scholarship.

Gregory is continuing his education, with the ultimate goal of becoming an Entertainment Attorney, while continuing to pursue a musical career. He is a musician at four san Antonio area church including Vertical Church, Resurrection Baptist Church, True Light Christian Fellowship, and Empowering Grace Christian Center. In addition to being the drummer for Singer/Songwriter Brian McKnight, Gregory will be featured on 3 national albums set to release soon by Brian McKnight, Boys II Men, and gospel recording group And We Know.
