Born into a large musical family in Detroit, Michigan, Dave was exposed to a wide array of influences. Schooled by his older siblings on the Motown Sound while nurturing his Trinidadian roots through his parents, Dave’s wide musical palette was cultivated at an early age.

His ongoing musical passion landed him a wealth of studio sessions and touring acts such as Wayne Wonder, Kymani Marley, Sade, Lauren Hill, Deborah Gibson, Javier, Martika, The Marley Boys (Ghetto Youth), KC & The Sunshine Band, comedian Billy Crystal, The Drifters, The Marvelettes, Brian Howe (Bad Company), Blowfly, Inner Circle, and Stevie Wonder but to name a few.

Dave also received a Grammy nomination for his work on Concha Buika's EP, 'Para Mi'.

Additionally, he has been featured in drum magazines including Modern Drummer and the European published Sticks.
