Born and raised in Liverpool and now living and working in Los Angeles, California since 2002 via London, New York City, Las Vegas and Toxteth. Jago performs in multiple formats ranging from original material with singer/ songwriters to musicals and artist tours to recording sessions. As a session musician Jago’s worldwide tour experiences include… The Neil Diamond 50th Anniversary Tour (taking over from the legend Ron Tutt in 2017), The Alan Cumming Band, Boy George, China Crisis, UK 70’s prog/rock group Barclay James Harvest, The Gregg Wright Band, The Calling and The Philip Sayce Band. Jago is also a part of The Bob Lazar Story, a prog rock duo working separately in their respective studios in Los Angeles and New Zealand to write and produce albums for Bad Elephant Music. Jago can always be seen in and around the LA area with various bands and artists including his own rock’n’roll combo ‘Aloud’.
Jago’s theatre credits also include a diverse range: Currently with Disney’s “Frozen the Musical”, the 1st national tour opened in LA, December 2019. “Rent” Live on FOX 2019 Primetime Event. The 10-time Tony Award Winning Broadway musical “Wicked” for which he originated the Los Angeles production in 2007 and continues to be a part of the Wicked family today. The American cult rock show “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” where he played the character of Schlacko in the original production in London’s West End & the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The ground-breaking musical “Taboo” with the infamous Boy George both on Broadway and the original London West End production (Jago can be heard on both the UK and US Original soundtrack albums of ‘Taboo’). Off the stage Jago joined the Boy George band for numerous public appearances, televised performances, BBC radio sessions and recordings for George’s solo projects.
Jago owns and operates Shabby Road Studios, a recording studio based in Woodland Hills, CA.
