Dustin Schletzer graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. While at MTSU, Dustin was an active percussionist in the Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Steel Drum Ensemble, MTSU Marching "Band of Blue", and the 2001/04 PASIC Indoor Marching Percussion Ensembles. Schletzer has been involved with several marching percussion ensembles within Drum Corps International and Winter Guard International. Dustin marched in the snare lines at the Santa Clara Vanguard in 2001, 2002, and he served as section leader in 2003. Schletzer began instucting the snare line in the Santa Clara Vanguard in 2004 where they were recipients of the Fred Sanford High Percussion award as well as serving on the Vanguard percussion staff in 2005. Dustin has also served as the snare drum technician for the 2008, 2007 and 2006 DCI World Champions Cavaliers. Dustin's winter percussion involvement has included Music City Mystique as well as the Father Ryan High School Percussion Ensemble where he has served as a battery technician since 2002.
