Overview

23 years old, Ken Bedene has been drumming for about 10 years. At the age of 13 Ken was playing in a few death metal bands with his dad. After playing in those bands for 5 or so years Ken finally got a call to do some touring with the band Abysmal Dawn (Relapse Records).
 
On the second tour with abysmal dawn headliners Abigail Williams (Candlelight Records) lost their bass player and Ken ended up filling in for them and doing two sets every night. After that tour Abigail Williams took Ken to be their permanent bass player. Shortly after tour, their drummer at the time quit the band so Ken took the opportunity to join on drums instead of bass. After a year of joining Abigail Williams, singer/guitarist Ken Sorceron (Abigail Williams, Ex-Aborted guitarist) gave Ken an opportunity to fill in for Aborted (EU - Century Media) on an upcoming tour.
 
Ken was recording Abigail Williams' "In The Absence Of Light" at the time and would only have 2 weeks to learn all the songs for Aborted as well as record drums for the Abigail Williams album. Ken decided to take on the challenge and ended up joining Aborted shortly on the next tour the band did. In june 2012 Ken went to Denmark to record Aborted’s 7th fullength record for Century Media entitled ‘Global Flatline’ with infamous producer Jacob Hansen. The album got extremely positive response from the press and fans worldwide and put the band at the forefront of the genre again. A lengthy touring cycle started upon its release in january 2012 with tours in europe with bands such as Decapitated, Fleshgod Apocalypse, a direct support tour with Cannibal Corpse, Headline summer tour and many european summer festivals. Aborted also went back  to tour North America as part of the Occupation Domination tour in march/april 2012 with Origin a.o.
 
Ken has been in 3 signed international touring acts (Abysmal Dawn, Abigail Williams, Aborted) and takes drum lessons from renowned bad ass Mike Heller (Fear Factory, System Divide). Ken has been touring non stop for the past 5 and a half years, including at least 10-12 full length tours, played on various prestigious european open air festivals (Hellfest, Graspop, Summer Breeze, Party San,...) recorded 2 fullength records on established Indie Labels. Aborted has tours in the works through Europe, North America, South America and even Asia for 2013 including a full european tour with Vader in january/february, Japanese headline tour with System Divide in february. Headline european tour in april and a full US tour supporting Hypocrisy in may as well as various european festivals throughout the summer.
