Jeremy Kirk is Professor of Music and Director of Bands & Percussion at Coffeyville Community College. Mr. Kirk's previous teaching experience includes the public schools of Kansas and West Virginia as well as Instructor of Percussion at Marshall University.
As a performer, he has performed and/or recorded with musicians including percussionists Michael Burritt, She-e Wu, Dave Samuels, Ney Rosauro; country music artists Sara Evans and Kathy Chiavola; and bluegrass legends Jim & Jesse Reynolds and Ralph Stanley. Kirk is the previous Director of The Presidents Drum & Bugle Corps and a former member of Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps and the Flat Baroque (Mostly) Marimba Quartet. He has served as a clinician and adjudicator throughout the United States and is in high demand as a clinician, consultant, and adjudicator. Mr. Kirk is an educational artist with Sabian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks & Mallets, and Evans Drum Heads and holds memberships in the Percussive Arts Society, College Music Society, College Band Directors National Association, and Kansas Music Educators Association.
He received his MA in Percussion Performance from Marshall University and BA in Music Education from Glenville State College. His past instructors include Dr. Ben Miller, Steve Hall, John McKinney, Leigh Stevens, and She-e Wu. Kirk resides in Coffeyville, Kansas with his wife Nikki and son Clark.
