Eric Flores graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor degree in Music Education (with Teachers Certification).  Soon after graduating, Eric received the position as the drummer for Lighter Ray, a Capitol Records Nashville country duo based out of Corpus Christi, Texas. During his time with Lighter Ray, Eric shared the stage with artists such as Marty Stuart and Darius Rucker. Eric began playing with The Lost Trailers in November of 2011. During his time with The Lost Trailers he has shared the stage with such artists as Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, Little Big Town, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Chris Young, Jake Owen, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, Thompson Square, Love and Theft, Dustin Lynch, Jana Kramer, John Michael Montgomery, and Charlie Daniels to name a few.  While holding the position as their drummer, they have had two top 40 singles on the Billboard and Mediabase Charts with ‘Underdog’ and ‘American Beauty.’  Eric also plays drums in an acid/fusion/rock/psychedelic/funk band called Ghetto Leslie and the Nasty Funks.

Eric began his music journey at the age of 10 winning many competitions for group and solo performances. Eric started a community-wide, after-school lesson program at Beeville's local middle school for younger students who wanted to independently improve their percussion skills.  In High School, Eric was the drummer for many different groups including a punk band, high school jazz band, Latin salsa band, and the marching band where he held a leadership position for two years.  However, his drive didn’t stop with leadership; Eric began pursuing his dream of playing professionally.  At the age of 16, he toured Texas with his punk band, Feeling Zero, for the experience of being in a van on the road.

After graduating from high school in 2005, Eric continued his pursuit for a career in music by majoring in Music Education.  At Texas A&M University-Kingsville, he studied percussion with Randy Fluman and Ron Schermerhorn. During his time in Kingsville, he held positions as quadline section leader, co-drumline section leader, principle percussionist for the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra, and principle percussionist of The Wind Symphony.  As a member of the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Percussion Ensemble, Eric was given the opportunity to perform for music educators, and fellow students at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) convention held in San Antonio, Texas.

In 2008 Eric continued his education at Texas A&M University-Commerce where he studied with World renowned Percussionist/Marimbist, Dr. Brian Zator. During Eric's time at Commerce he held positions as section leader of the Wind Ensemble, member of the top percussion ensemble, and was a featured Marimba Soloist with the University Chorale and Wind Ensemble.  In 2010 Eric was a part of the winning Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition performance with the Texas A&M University-Commerce Percussion Ensemble.  In winning this competition, the Commerce Percussion Ensemble was invited to perform a showcase concert at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Percussive Arts Society is the world’s largest professional organization for Percussionists and Percussion Educators.
