Eric Flores graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education (with Teachers Certification) and studied percussion with Dr. Brian Zator. Soon after graduating, Eric received the position as the drummer for Lighter Ray (January 2011), a Capitol Records Nashville country duo based out of Corpus Christi, Texas. During his time with Lighter Ray, Eric shared the stage with artists such as Marty Stuart and Darius Rucker.
Eric began playing with The Lost Trailers in November of 2011. During his time with The Lost Trailers he has shared the stage with such artists as Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, Little Big Town, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Ronnie Dunn, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Chris Young, Jake Owen, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, Thompson Square, Jerrod Niemann, Josh Turner, Randy Houser, Love and Theft, Dustin Lynch, Jana Kramer, John Michael Montgomery, and Charlie Daniels to name a few. While holding the position as their drummer, they have had two top 40 singles on the Billboard and Mediabase Charts with ‘Underdog’ and ‘American Beauty.’
In March of 2012 Eric Flores, Charles Longoria, and Jimmy Lykens formed Ghetto Leslie, a rock trio that sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard. Ghetto Leslie’s sound is formed by the bands incredibly diverse musical background and brings groove, complexity, and spontaneity together with execution and provides a High Energy sound that keeps you excited and engaged! Ghetto Leslie is currently working to release their first Album and is looking to tour in 2015.
In July 2012 Eric recorded all the drum and percussion parts for the Lifetime movie Ring of Fire (released in 2013) that featured recording artist Jewel as June Carter. Eric played on all the music for Johnny Cash and June Carter that is being played in the movie.
In August 2014 Eric formed The Social Media, a Music Group available to back up any Artist/Songwriter for both live and studio situations. The Social Media consists of some of the best musicians in the industry and focuses on consistent, professional, friendly, high-end performance. Eric performs as drummer/percussionist/band leader for all Social Media performances and sessions.
In August 2014 Eric also accepted the drummer position for Brandon Lay, a Warner/Chappell Nashville Artist/Writer. Brandon is a new Artist with a fantastic, fresh, and energetic sound.
When not on the road with Ghetto Leslie, Brandon Lay, or The Social Media, Eric contributes to studio sessions in Nashville and teaches private lessons in percussion, drumset, and music theory.
Eric joined the Pearl Drums Family as a Drumset Artist in April 2013 and enjoys working with the best drum company in the industry! Eric also uses Zildjian Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, Pro-Mark Sticks, and Marimba One Marimbas.
