Pop Evil Lands First No. 1 Album with ‘Up’

Another week, another Pearl Artist tops the charts.  This week, the honor is bestowed upon Josh “Chachi” Marunde, and hard rockers, Pop Evil, who topped the Billboard Indie Charts with their new album, Up. Backed by the massive success of the album’s lead single, “Footsteps”- which currently ranks at the No. 3 position on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Singles Chart- Up also debuted at the No. 3 position on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart, and at the No. 6 position on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart.  Up is Pop Evil’s fourth major label release, following 2013’s Onyx which hosts the former No. 1 singles, “Trenches”, “Deal with the Devil”, and “Torn to Pieces”.

In support of the new album, Josh “Chachi” Marunde and Pop Evil will be spending the remainder of 2015 on the ‘Up World Tour’, which continues tonight, September 12th, at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, AZ, and winds its way around the US and Canada until the band’s tour closing performance at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Sioux City, IA, on November 14th.  On this run, and for the remainder of the Up tour cycle, Chachi will unveil his new Crystal Beat acrylic drum-set, in his signature 1-up, 2-down setup, topped with a 14x6.5 Masters MCX snare drum, supported by Pearl’s indestructible 1030 Series Hardware, and driven by a set of Powershifter Eliminator Double pedals.  Josh’s full specs can be viewed here.
