Evanescence Returns to Rock the Wiltern Theater
Grammy Award winning and iconic hard rockers, Evanescence, returned to Los Angeles this past Tuesday, stopping through the entertainment capital of the world to perform in front of a packed house at the historic Wiltern Theater. This select and intimate concert was one of three U.S. tour stops for Evanescence in 2015, marking their first live performances in nearly three years and serving as a warm-up to the this weekend’s mainstage performance at Ozzfest Japan.
Evanescence, the band’s 2011 self-titled effort, and the band’s most recent studio album, swept the charts at the time of its release, debuting at the No. 1 position on the Billboard’s Top 200 Chart, Top Rock Albums Chart, Alternative Albums Chart, and Hard Rock Albums Chart. The album’s massive success came in part to the singles “What You Want”, “My Heart is Broken”, and “Lost in Paradise”. More information on Evanescence can be found at www.Evanescence.com.
The return of Evanescence also saw the return of one of rock’s finest and most entertaining drummers- Pearl Artist, Will Hunt. Following the two year world tour in support of Evanescence, Will was tapped by Italian mega-star, Vasco Rossi, for his 2014 and 2015 stadium (yes, stadium) tours, which placed Will in front of 80,000 adoring fans night after night. Throughout his work with Evanescence, Vasco Rossi, and for his stint with the rock super-group, Device, Will Hunt has continually relied on his unmistakable Masterworks Series drums, complete with floating E-Pro Live toms, and surrounded with a custom built ICON Rack System. Some highlights of Will Hunt in action at the Wiltern can be viewed below.
