Beastie Boys Tour Postponed

“I have some pretty heavy news”... is what Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys said before delivering the news of the cancer diagnosis a video release.
Adam announced Monday that he would be receiving treatment for cancer and that as a result the group would cancel some future shows and push back the release of a new album. "I began to feel a small lump in my throat about two months ago and that doctors had recently found cancer in his parotid gland and in a lymph node. This is something that’s very treatable and in most cases they’re able to completely get rid of it,” he said.
Alfredo's percussion was featured on the Beastie Boys instrumental album, the Grammy Award winning "The Mix-Up". He spent most of 2007 touring festivals world-wide with them, including at the televised 'Live Earth' from Wembeley Stadium in London, England.
