Birch drums feature boosted high frequencies, slightly reduced mids, and a good low end punch, ideal for live and recorded situations when you want extra presence and cut.
Steel SensiTone Snare
You'll get an incredible crack! from this streamlined steel snare drum. The chrome finish stands up to most expensive snare drums from other manufacturers. Pearl's innovative SR-900 Duo-Motion strainer can be converted from a side lever action to a Gladstone-type throw-off. The precision contoured lever allows for fast and absolute on/off function. A large adjustment knob insures fine tuning for superior snare sensitivity.
Professional Two Ply Heads
Vision VBL come with REMO Pinstripe tom batters and clear resonator heads, coated snare batter and clear snare head, and Powerstroke3 bass drum heads making them easier to tune and delivering a full, powerful sound right out of the box.

Shell Composition
Birch shells feature boosted high frequencies, slightly reduced mids, and a good low end punch, ideal for applications requiring extra focus and cut. Many Birch drumsets have found their way into the world's top recording studios because of their naturally "EQ'd" sound.
Pearl’s Superior Shell Technology utilizes a proprietary technique for achieving the ultimate air chamber. It begins with select woods chosen for their unique acoustic attributes, milled to precise thickness with overlapping scarf joint seams, for a perfect air-tight fit. The wood plies are saturated with Pearl’s proprietary “AcoustiGlue” that permeates every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood for optimum resonance. Finally, the plies are formed in high-temperature molds with 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure to produce perfect drum shells that exhibit superior tone, optimal resonance and extreme strength.
Snare Drums
The Vision Series features Pearl’s legendary SensiTone snare drums, which have been the choice of discerning drummers for years. As the name implies these drums provide extreme sensitivity combined with amazing tone and clarity due to their 5.5” steel shell, which projects intense volume with articulate response for dynamic power and cut.
