Brett "B Dubb" Baker

Since the age of 5, Brett “B Dubb” Baker has been fascinated by the sounds of musical instruments, as well as the overwhelming effect of music on humans. At a young age, B Dubb dedicated his life to music, vowing to maintain sincerity and authenticity in all of his musical endeavors. B Dubb’s versatility in musical styles, such as soul and hip-hop, and mastery of multiple instruments paid off quickly, as he expanded his career past his profession as a musician, gaining a reputation as a producer and songwriter as well.

Early in his career, Baker worked with artists such as Vivian Green, Glenn Lewis, Jamie Hawkins, and Kelly Price. Working on renowned singer/songwriter Eric Roberson’s release, “Music Fan First,” Baker gained a coveted Grammy nomination, received the Soulbounce Album of the Year award, and made the Billboard Top 100 Chart three times. In 2001, he co-founded the Collaborative Music Group LLC, an independent record label which allowed local up-and-coming musicians to record their musical compositions.

Since playing with multi-platinum Atlantic Records recording artist Musiq Soulchild for almost 4 years, Baker has been playing percussion with distinguished hip-hop artist Jay-Z. While performing with Jay-Z, B Dubb has had the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Kanye West, and Eminem. Upholding his musical roots of artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Public Enemy and Africa Bambaata, “B Dubb” continues to contribute his own vibe of music to the world.
