Pearl & Adams Drum Corps Shine in DCI World Championship Competitions
In Open Class competition, Blue Devils B Corps took the Silver medal with a score of 80.325, topping the group of 8 corps using Pearl equipment at competition held in Michigan City IN on August 4th. Congratulations to all our Open Corps participants from Blue Devils B, 7th Regiment, City Sound, Columbians, Eruption, Louisiana Stars, Thunder, and Watchmen.
On Saturday Afternoon, the 2015 DCI Drumline Battle was fought and won by the 7th Regiment Drumline on Georgia Street and in the Pan Am Plaza near Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. 7th Regiment brought home the gold by besting the field of 16 competitors from all over the world in bracketed competition. Pearl is a proud sponsor of the Drumline Battle event, and look forward to seeing the creativity and excitement that the lines bring to next year’s tournament!
On the evening of Saturday August 8, Lucas Oil Stadium was ringing with the cheers of a record 22,000+ ticketed fans for what could only be described as one of the most phenomenal World Class events in history. The overall talent level and quality of performance from all 12 Finalist corps was astounding, topped off by a comeback win for the Blue Devils taking home their 17th World Championship, and winning the Fred Sanford High Percussion Award. In a season filled with as much drama and excitement as the shows themselves, all 5 Pearl Corps World Class performed with passion and drive that was an inspiration to everyone lucky enough to see and hear what these amazing performers can do.
