Earlier this year, metal music icon, Devin Townsend packed the walls of the famed Royal Albert Hall in London, England, for a one-time-only and highly elaborate performance of Z2, the latest installment to his Ziltoid series.  Luckily, for the majority of us fans worldwide who couldn’t experience this larger-than-life spectacle in person, Devin Townsend documented this extraordinary event for a live DVD, titled, Ziltoid Live at The Royal Hall, which is scheduled to hit the shelves on November 27th!  The official trailer for the DVD can be found below.

The release of Ziltoid Live at Royal Albert Hall will arrive in several formats, with limited add-ons that include a 44 page Artbook, extensive behind-the-scenes bonus footage and a full documentary, and, of course, the full concert footage- all of which comes pressed on three CDs, two DVDs and a Blu-ray disc.  For more information, and to pre-order your copy of Ziltoid Live at Royal Albert Hall, can be found at

Of course, for the drum world, the highlight of this DVD will be the masterful and seemingly endless talents of, Pearl Artist, Ryan Van Poederooyen.  As seen in the trailer, Ryan is slamming away on a set of Pearl’s Reference Series drums, finished in the always-classy Piano Black lacquer, and topped with a 14x6.5 Reference Series Brass snare drum.  More information on Ryan Van Poederooyen, including full specs on his Reference Series setup, can be found here.
