Watch Eminem and Rihanna Headline the Concert for Valor
Military veterans and active-duty service members were among the swarm of music fans who packed the National Mall in Washington D.C. on Tuesday for the debut Concert for Valor- a free Veterans Day concert featuring music’s biggest names. Closing out the day-long event was a reunion of this summer’s monumental stadium tour, The Monster Tour, which featured Pop-superstar, Rihanna, and Rap icon, Eminem. This tremendous duo once again teamed up for a brief-but-electrifying set that captivated the estimated crowd of 800,000 in attendance, as they danced along to the radio friendly hits including Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” “Stay” and “The Monster”, and Eminem’s “Guts Over Fear,” “Not Afraid” and “Lose Yourself.” Rihanna's and Eminem’s joint set from the Concert for Valor can be viewed here. The reunion between these two superstars also brought the reunion of a stellar drumming-duo as well in, Pearl Artist, Michael Reid and, Pearl Percussion Artist, Aaron Draper who were teaming up once again to lay down the heavy backbeats for the joint performance. For this particular event, Michael Reid turned to his beautiful Reference Series setup finished in the always classy Red Wine lacquer, held together by the indestructible ICON Rack System, 1030 Series hardware, and topped off with an Eliminator Chain pedal. Aaron Draper turned to his Havana Series Congas and Bongos for the occasion- a new addition to the Pearl Percussion lineup in 2014- along with a trio of Elite Series timbales and a massive ICON Rack System.
