Volbeat Announces North American Tour

Hot off the 2012 Giagantour Tour, Danish rockers, Volbeat, will be returning to North America on the “Beyond Hell/Above Heaven Tour”, with support coming from Hellyeah, and Iced Earth! The tour is set to kick off on June 18th, in Toronto, ON, and will continue throughout Canada and the US for the remaining 4 weeks, with more dates yet to be announced. Volbeat has been touring off Beyond Hell/Above Heaven, since its release in 2010, and the album has been certified platinum in Denmark and Germany, as well as being certified gold in Austria, Finland, and Sweden. The album also charted in the Top 10 in 10 countries, including the No. 1 position in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. Here in the States, Volbeat has enjoyed large commercial success through multiple radio hits including “Fallen”, which reach the No. 11 position, “A Warriors Call”, which peaked at the No. 3 position, and from the current No. 16 rock song in the country, “Still Counting”, which is from Volbeat’s 2008 album, Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood.

Pearl artist, Jon Larsen, spends majority of his time here in the US behind his Diamond Burst Masters Series drums. Complete with 4 rack toms, ranging in size from 10x10 to 16x14, 2 floor toms- 16x16 and 18x16, matching 22x18 kick drums, and a 14x6.5 Masters MCX Snare to top it off, Jon’s kit proves be huge in size and sound, with the 6-ply maple shells providing maximum resonation and depth.
