Chad Smith Donates Super Bowl Kit to Make-A-Wish Foundation
This past Sunday, the Red Hot Chili Peppers made an electrifying appearance in front of 112 million viewers during the Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show, rising up from center stage and joining Bruno Mars to cap off one of the most memorable music performances in recent history.
For the special occasion, the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s drummer, drumming extraordinaire, and Pearl artist, Chad Smith, played behind a beautifully custom built “Limited Edition” Series Plexiglas drum set made by Pearl, with a custom wrap material featuring all 32 NFL team logos, provided by Brand Imaging Group, and also included a lighting package provided by Drumlite. This Limited Edition Series Pearl kit is designed to be broken up into 2 separate drum sets- a kit to feature AFC conference team logos, and a second kit to feature only NFC conference team logos- with each kit being auctioned off to benefit Make-A-Wish to help grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. More information about this extremely rare opportunity to own a piece of both music and NFL history, all while supporting a tremendous cause, can be found here.
