Trvium Announces North American Tour

American metalers, Trivium, recently announced a co-headining North American tour scheduled to kick off the 2012 touring season in a massive way. Heading to a theater near you, the 5-week long tour, which runs from January 12th- February 21st, will mark the band’s return to the US for the first time since their main-support run with progressive/metal giants, Dream Theater, as well as marking the first of their many tours in 2012. The band will be campaigning in support of their latest album, “In Waves”, which sold 22,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 13 on The Billboard 200 chart — the highest U.S. chart entry of the band's career.

Pearl artist, and Trivium drummer, Nick Augusto, has created a massive buzz in the drumming community with his solid-yet-complex work behind the drums, both in the recording of “In Waves” and throughout his live performances, as well. Having been one of the first Pearl artists to put Pearl’s new line of drums, the Reference Pure, to the test of the road, Nick has attracted new fans with more than his quick feet, consistent blast beats, and fast rolls. Nick’s Reference Pure drums serve as a beautiful centerpiece to Trivium’s stage plot, finished in the traditional Piano Black lacquer, with the Reference Pure standard swivel tube lugs perfectly accenting the drums classy looks. Nick’s full specs are as follow:

Reference Pure: Piano Black (103)
22x18- bass drum (x2)
10x8- rack tom
12x9- rack tom
16x16- floor tom
18x16- floor tom
14x6.5- Reference Series Snare drum (wood)
