Terence Higgins Releases 'Swampgrease II: Rage 'til Sunrise'
Swampgrease is back! The solo/side-project of the New Orleans based groove-master himself, Terence Higgins, returns with a new album- Swampgrease II: Rage ‘til Sunrise! The follow-up to the band’s 2004 debut, In The Bywater, Swampgrease II offers more of that traditional funk and R&B groove that has built the New Orleans music scene into one of the World’s finest. Serving as a side project for Terence while off the road from touring with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Warren Haynes, or John Scofield, Terence turns to this all-star super group to showcase some new music derived from and mixed with his southern based roots. Swampgrease II: Rage ‘til Sunrise features Nigel Hall, Calvin Turner, and guitar virtuosos Andrew Block and John Notto.
Throughout the recording of Swampgrease II: Rage ‘til Sunrise, Terence Higgins relied on the tonal quality of his breathtaking and trustworthy Masters Custom drums, which have the same shells as the Masters MCX, and omit the warm and deep tones often found from an all-maple shell. Terence’s full specs are as follow:
Vintage Sunburst (128)
w/ Black Hardware
22x18 bass drum
10x9 rack tom
12x10 rack tom
16x14 hanging floor tom
14x6.5 Reference Brass snare
Swampgrease II: Rage ‘til Dawn is now available through the album's official website, here, and will be released through iTunes shortly. For more information on Terence Higgins, please be sure to visit his official Facebook page- www.Facebook.com/TerenceHigginsDrums.
